Leaving Santa Fe, a great deal is done to beautify the city. |
Riding to Durango today, there was lots to see, especially as we were saying goodbye to New Mexico. |
These were some of the best views we had of New Mexico. Right along a seldom used road, wishing us goodbye.
This marked the end of our time in New Mexico. We were seeing snow again, the first time since.... CALIFORNIA! |
A favourite subject for Nan: murals, of which there are many. |
We went for dinner in Durango, Colorado and a restaurant had the AUDACITY to serve a "Howie Burger'!

Where is Shiprock?
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous, Shiprock is in Mesa Verde National Monument, where we were today. Sadly, it was not visible due to haze in the air. We tried to see it through a telescope but it couldn't cut the California fog that had drifted over the area and the road that would have taken us close was closed for maintenance.
ReplyDeleteRock formations, gorgeous! Howie burger looks tasty. Not sure about those fries... were they good?
ReplyDeleteThe fries were actually good but I would never serve fries with a TRUE Howie Burger! Interlopers!
ReplyDeleteHa, you’ll have to fill me in on the TRUE Howie burger next time we catch up
